About the Job
An HVAC Technician holds a comprehensive scope of responsibilities, encompassing in-depth diagnosis and repair of customer AC units, conducting root cause failure analysis to identify the underlying reasons behind system malfunctions, and professionally communicating findings to customers — including the nature of the problem, its potential impact, and recommended corrective actions. Beyond repair duties, the technician is also responsible for supporting functions such as preparing detailed spare parts reports, performing routine inspections, assessing overall system performance, and compiling technical documentation to ensure the smooth and continuous operation of HVAC systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of residential air conditioning systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot AC system issues to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance and service visits at customer sites.
- Carry out testing and commissioning of newly installed air conditioning units.
- Prepare and submit RCA service reports and maintenance records accurately.
- Ensure all service activities comply with company standards and safety regulations.
- Support project supervision and coordinate with customers regarding technical and service-related matters.
Requirements
- Minimum Senior High School (SMK) graduate, preferably in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Residential Air Conditioning Technician.
- Familiar with air conditioning installation, preventive & Corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Knowledge of residential AC systems, including wall-mounted split, cassette, VRV, AHU, and multi-split units.
- Willing to work overtime and travel for customer site visits when required.
- Possess a valid driving license (SIM C & SIM A) and preferably own a personal vehicle.
- Good communication skills, discipline, and a strong sense of responsibility.
